Welcome to the New York City Department of Education's online application.

The first step in filling out your online application is to create an account by registering. If you have not already done so, please click on the "Register Now!" button and supply the requested information. During the registration step, you will define your User Name (your email address) and Password. Your email address will also be the primary means for contacting you - please check your inbox regularly, and check your junk mail or spam filter and make sure you are receiving emails from the NYC Department of Education (allow domains "@schools.nyc.gov" and "@nyc.teacherssupportnetwork.com").

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU HAVE REGISTERED OR COMPLETED AN APPLICATION BEFORE DECEMBER 15, 2009, YOU MUST RE-REGISTER AND DO A NEW APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR.

Please provide the requested information; note that there are many mandatory fields - they are labeled with an asterisk (*).
You will see this icon throughout the application. Click on it to see helpful information about specific fields on the application.
You will need to provide important information about your professional background, a complete résumé, and responses to essay questions. The average time to complete the application is approximately 45 minutes to one hour.
You may stop and come back later to complete your application by clicking on "Save and Exit" once a section has been completed. The system will not record the information you entered unless either the "Save and Exit" or "Save and Continue" button are clicked.

For those applicants that have already registered and wish to complete or edit their application, simply log in and click on the "My Application" button. And remember to "Save and Exit" or "Save and Continue".

When you are ready to submit your application, and have completed all the required information, you can click on the "Complete" button to submit your application.
