Borough Director of Student Suspensions, OSPP, LIV-EA67
Position Summary: Reporting to the Citywide Director of Student Suspensions and Hearings, the Borough Director of Student Suspensions provides oversight and coordination of the borough’s elementary schools’ collaborative suspension program and serves as a liaison to the borough’s middle and high school Alternate Learning Centers (ALCs). The Borough Director oversees intake, placement and return procedures, attendance, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, staff capacity building issues, and collaborative work with applicable community based organizations at the elementary school level. At the middle and high school level, the Borough Director coordinates with the ALCs to support effective support services and ensure compliance with all relevant Federal, State and local mandates and citywide policies. Performs related work.
Reports to: Citywide Director of Student Suspensions and Hearings
Direct Reports: Early Resolution Counselors (Teacher Assigned A)
Key Relationships: The Borough Director of Student Suspensions works closely with the Borough Hearing Office Supervising Attorney, the Alternate Learning Center Principal and staff, Borough Safety Directors, Principals and Deans of K-12 schools in specified borough, Children Advocates, OSPP Data team and the Special Education Team.

Minimum
Applicants must possess a valid New York State certificate in School Administration/Supervision (SAS), School District Administrator (SDA), School Building Leadership (SBL), or the Administrator Certificate. We do not accept internship certificates.

Preferred
Salary: $154,038 - $181,604
